Ryoko Kui’s art and the world of Delicious in Dungeon are heading back to the United States, with a dedicated exhibition opening in Los Angeles this summer. Kadokawa World Entertainment has confirmed that the Ryoko Kui Exhibition and Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition will run in the Los Angeles Arts District from July 2 through July 26, 2026, giving fans a chance to explore the series beyond the convention floor.

The Los Angeles engagement follows the exhibition’s U.S. debut in New York in October 2025 and previous appearances in Japan and other parts of Asia. Its opening week also lines up with Anime Expo 2026, which is scheduled for July 2 through July 5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. That timing makes the exhibition a natural stop for fans visiting downtown Los Angeles for the annual anime event, while the longer run gives local visitors and travelers additional opportunities to attend.

Here’s what we know so far: the show will combine original-inspired displays, behind-the-scenes material, immersive photo opportunities, and imported merchandise. It is designed not only as a celebration of Delicious in Dungeon, but also as a broader look at Ryoko Kui’s work and the way she builds her distinctive fantasy worlds.

A closer look at Ryoko Kui’s creative process

A major part of the exhibition will be an extensive art showcase covering Delicious in Dungeon alongside several of Kui’s earlier works. The announced lineup includes The Dragon’s School Is on Top of the Mountain, Seven Little Sons of the Dragon, and Terrarium in Drawer.

For longtime fans, the behind-the-scenes material may be the biggest draw. The exhibition is expected to feature rough concept sketches, a long-form interview with Kui, and time-lapse drawing footage showing how her illustrations develop. Those elements should offer a useful look at the work behind the manga’s expressive characters, strange creatures, detailed environments, and carefully imagined meals.

Yen Press has continued expanding Kui’s catalog in English. In addition to publishing the complete Delicious in Dungeon manga, the publisher has released or announced English editions of several related and earlier works, including Seven Little Sons of the Dragon and Terrarium in a Drawer. That makes the Los Angeles exhibition notable for readers who know Kui primarily through her dungeon-cooking fantasy and want to see more of her range.

Dungeon monsters, fantasy food, and photo spots

The exhibition will also lean into the visual appeal of Delicious in Dungeon. Announced photo spots will feature dungeon monsters, items, and recreated food from the series, with additional exhibition features making their U.S. debut in Los Angeles.

That focus fits the central hook of Kui’s manga. The story follows Laios and his adventuring party as they attempt to rescue a lost companion after a disastrous encounter with a dragon. With their supplies gone, the group turns to an unusual survival strategy: cooking and eating the monsters they encounter in the dungeon.

The concept is playful, but the food is more than a running joke. Meals become part of the party’s survival, their relationships, and the way they understand the dungeon itself. The official Netflix page describes the anime as a fantasy adventure about rescuing a friend while cooking through a dangerous buried kingdom, while Yen Press currently lists the complete manga collection at 14 volumes.

Merchandise and what fans should watch for

Imported official merchandise will be sold on-site, with Kadokawa World Entertainment promising an expanded selection of items for U.S. fans. Visitors who purchase special bundled tickets will also receive an exclusive collector item available only through the exhibition experience.

Specific ticket prices, the exact Los Angeles venue, operating hours, and the full merchandise lineup were not included in the announcement. Kadokawa World Entertainment is directing fans to the exhibition’s official accounts for updates on tickets, merchandise, and other visitor information, so those details are worth keeping an eye on as the Los Angeles run approaches.

As of July 26, 2026, the Los Angeles engagement is scheduled to conclude today. Fans who have already planned an Anime Expo trip or are in the area should check the exhibition’s official channels for current entry information and any last-day availability before heading to the Arts District.

For fans of Ryoko Kui, the exhibition offers more than a chance to take photos with familiar monsters. It brings together the art, food, character work, and creative process behind one of manga’s most distinctive fantasy adventures—along with a broader introduction to the creator’s work beyond Delicious in Dungeon.
