Hasbro’s latest Marvel Legends Fanstream delivered a particularly collector-heavy slate, combining a second wave of comic-accessory figures with several long-requested character releases and two premium two-packs. The reveals are notable less for a single blockbuster centerpiece than for the way they fill long-standing gaps across X-Men, cosmic Marvel, Daredevil, and Punisher displays.

The announcement also arrives at an increasingly important price point for Marvel Legends. Standard figures in this group are listed at $27.99, while the Punisher and Nick Fury set is priced at $62.99 and the Deathbird and Gladiator pack at $57.99. For collectors who approach Marvel Legends as a completionist line, the assortment is appealing; for everyone else, the higher prices make character selection more important than ever.

A Strong Second Wave of Comic-Accessory Figures

Hasbro’s mini-comic format continues with six individual figures: Rachel Summers as Phoenix, Silver Surfer, Black Widow, Astonishing X-Men Beast, X-Force Feral, and Daredevil in his black sweatsuit look. Each figure is designed around a specific comic reference and includes a small comic or cover-inspired accessory, giving the wave a distinct identity beyond simple repaints.

Rachel Summers is easily the standout for collectors building an Excalibur display. The figure is based on Rachel’s appearance in Excalibur #1 and includes eight accessories, including the dramatic Hound effect seen in the promotional images. Hasbro also lists the figure at six-inch scale with more than 20 points of articulation. The overall presentation captures the flamboyant color blocking and superhero silhouette of the period, although collectors familiar with Alan Davis’s artwork may wish the hairstyle had leaned more heavily into Rachel’s recognizable mullet.

Black Widow is another release with strong upgrade potential. Her gray-and-black costume, inspired by her classic comic appearances, is visually distinct from the more familiar black-suited versions already in many collections. The most important improvement is the use of a more articulated body rather than the older jacketed release. Her package includes alternate hands and multiple Widow’s Bite effects, making this a more display-friendly option for collectors who want a Black Widow capable of dynamic poses.

Silver Surfer is a clean, classic interpretation based on his early comic presentation. Hasbro lists six accessories and more than 20 points of articulation, while the figure’s polished silver finish gives it immediate shelf presence. The included mini-comic helps sell the concept, but this is also the release most likely to divide existing collectors. Anyone who already owns the Walgreens Silver Surfer, the Galactus HasLab version, or another recent interpretation may find the new figure more complementary than essential.

Astonishing X-Men Beast is a useful addition for collectors assembling the modern X-Men team associated with Joss Whedon and John Cassaday’s run. The sculpt appears to emphasize Beast’s broad, powerful proportions and distinctive blue fur, making him a visually substantial figure in an X-Men display. His appeal will be strongest for collectors who have already invested in the Astonishing lineup and want a Beast that matches that specific era rather than a more traditional blue-and-yellow version.

Feral is arguably the most important completion piece in the wave. X-Force collectors have been waiting for a modern version of the character to join the team, and the figure’s streamlined feline design fits the aggressive visual language of the early X-Force roster. The main question is whether the sculpt communicates enough of Feral’s fur-covered appearance. Compared with the heavily textured Wolfsbane body, this interpretation looks smoother and more restrained, which may leave some collectors wanting additional surface detail.

Daredevil offers perhaps the most unusual design in the assortment. Based on his black sweatsuit appearance, the figure has a heavier, more casual silhouette than the traditional red-costumed version. That bulk works in its favor: instead of reading as a standard superhero body in a different costume, the figure has the look of a street-level hero operating outside his usual identity. The design recalls the broad, expressive proportions associated with John Romita Jr.’s Daredevil artwork and should make an especially effective figure for urban or civilian-themed displays.

Secret Wars Nostalgia Returns with Iceman

The continuation of Hasbro’s modern Secret Wars sub-line is welcome news for collectors who remember the original 1980s figures. Secret Wars Iceman is a direct tribute to that vintage release, complete with retro-styled presentation and a generous selection of ice-themed accessories.

Hasbro’s product information lists an alternate head, alternate hands, two ice blasts, an ice slide, a snowball, and the classic shield accessory. The six-inch figure is intended for dynamic posing, and the ice slide in particular gives the character a much stronger display option than a standard standing release.

The design is faithful to the idea of a toyetic Secret Wars Iceman, but it may not satisfy collectors looking for a more crystalline comic interpretation. The sculpted body remains comparatively smooth, while the most dramatic ice texture is concentrated in the accessories. That makes the figure a convincing companion piece for the Secret Wars range, even if it stops short of being the definitive modern Iceman for every display.

Iceman was announced as a Pulse and fan-channel exclusive at $27.99, with preorders scheduled to begin October 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. Eastern. Hasbro’s current product listing confirms the same price and accessory lineup.

Two Packs Fill Major X-Men and Punisher Gaps

The Deathbird and Gladiator two-pack is one of the most significant reveals for Shi’ar fans. Deathbird has been a long-requested character in the modern Marvel Legends line, and pairing her with Gladiator creates an immediate Imperial Guard display option. The set uses six-inch-scale figures and includes three accessories, highlighted by an alternate Gladiator head with a heat-vision effect.

Deathbird’s costume is not the most classic version of the character, but it provides a striking silhouette through the wings, armor, and angular detailing. Gladiator, meanwhile, benefits from the alternate head, which gives collectors a more expressive option than a standard portrait. At $57.99, the set is aimed squarely at dedicated X-Men and cosmic Marvel collectors, but the character selection gives it a stronger completionist argument than many two-packs.

The Punisher and Nick Fury set is a more unexpected release and is branded as part of the Gamerverse line. Both figures are presented in a retro gaming-inspired package, with Hasbro listing more than 20 accessories and more than 20 points of articulation for each character. The accessories include alternate hands, an alternate head, and multiple weapon options.

Nick Fury’s portrait is particularly effective because it leaves room for the character’s trademark cigar, a small detail that helps separate the figure from a generic military-styled release. Punisher is the more straightforward inclusion, but the pairing gives collectors a practical way to display two street-level Marvel characters with a consistent visual theme. The $62.99 price is substantial, though the accessory count gives the set more justification than a minimally equipped two-pack.

Collector Verdict: Essential Characters, Selective Buying

This Fanstream lineup is strongest where it addresses genuine collection gaps. Rachel Summers, Feral, Deathbird, and Astonishing Beast are the releases most likely to become priority purchases for team builders, while the black-sweatsuit Daredevil offers a genuinely unusual costume variation.

Silver Surfer and Iceman will depend more heavily on personal display goals. Both are attractive figures with strong accessory support, but collectors who already own recent versions may see them as specialized comic tributes rather than replacements. Black Widow appears to offer the most obvious engineering upgrade among the individual figures, while the two-packs provide the greatest value for collectors who specifically want the included character combinations.

With the standard figure price now at $27.99, the best strategy is probably to prioritize characters that complete a team or represent a definitive costume. This is a lineup built for focused collecting rather than indiscriminate buying—and for longtime Marvel Legends fans, that may be the most practical direction Hasbro could take.

Collector verdict: The wave is especially recommended for X-Men completionists, Excalibur and X-Force fans, Secret Wars collectors, and anyone still waiting for Deathbird or a modernized Black Widow.
