BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA has reached its final episode in Japan, and Mugendai MewType is marking the occasion with a new visual, fresh performance videos, and a Blu-ray release packed with material from the anime’s closing chapters.
Episode 13 aired on September 10, 2026, bringing the 13-episode series to a close. The newly released artwork features all five members of Mugendai MewType beneath the tagline “Beyond the dream!”—a fitting send-off for the virtual band’s first major anime story.
The group’s official X account also shared a message of thanks from the members, looking back on the story of five girls who met, struggled with music, and gradually moved forward together. The post also asks viewers to keep watching for Mugendai MewType’s future activities.
Two Episode 13 performances are now available
Fans can revisit the finale through two newly released performance clips on the official BanG Dream! YouTube channel. The videos feature Mugendai MewType performing “in my words” and “Ai wa Shoudou”, translated as “Love is Energy.”
Both songs are also available through digital music services for streaming and download. Their release gives the finale a life beyond the broadcast, especially for viewers who want to return to the episode’s live-performance sequences or add the tracks to their BanG Dream! playlists.
For longtime BanG Dream! fans, the rollout follows a familiar pattern: a major anime performance is quickly supported by official video clips and digital music releases. In Mugendai MewType’s case, the timing also underlines how closely the anime and the group’s music activities are connected.
Volume 2 will include the final six episodes
The jacket illustration for BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA Blu-ray Volume 2 has also been revealed. The artwork shows the five Mugendai MewType members wearing the costumes seen during the live performance in Episode 13.
The Blu-ray is scheduled to arrive in Japan on December 16, 2026. Volume 2 will contain Episodes 8 through 13, along with the clean opening and ending sequences and an original soundtrack CD featuring music from the series. The release will also include Japanese accessibility subtitles plus English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese subtitles.
The product is listed at 19,800 yen, including tax, and first-press copies come with a special three-sided sleeve case and a booklet. A simultaneous-purchase campaign for both Blu-ray volumes will offer an illustrated storage box featuring Mugendai MewType members’ reproduced signatures, as well as an additional bonus CD.
The story behind Mugendai MewType
Based on an original concept by Bushiroad, BanG Dream! YUME∞MITA follows five girls suddenly brought together to debut as the virtual band Mugendai MewType. Each member has a distinct talent and personality, but the group initially has little idea how to function as a band.
The anime was directed by Tomomi Umetsu at NICHICALINE, with Hiroshi Morita serving as assistant director. Midori Goto handled series composition, while Osamu Nobusawa and Mochibuyo provided the character designs. Takuya Chanohara and Yuka Yamori adapted those designs for animation. PHYZ served as music producer, with music production by Bushiroad Music.
The official English BanG Dream! site identifies the core MewType lineup as Arale Nakamachi, Nonoka Miyanaga, Ritsu Minetsuki, Miyako Fuji, and Yuno Sengoku. The series presents the group as a new kind of BanG Dream! act, combining a virtual-band identity with a story focused on performance, personal differences, and the challenge of learning to create a shared sound.
Although the television series has ended, Mugendai MewType’s activities are continuing. The group is scheduled to perform at BanG Dream! 13th☆LIVE DAY2: “DIMENSIONAL OVERLAP” on October 11, 2026, at Tokyo Garden Theater. That live event is the next major date worth keeping an eye on as the anime’s finale gives way to the band’s ongoing music career.
