Sekai Saikyou no Majo, Hajimemashita is bringing its internet-powered fantasy adventure to television, and the anime has revealed a new voice actor, its core creative team, theme songs, and a first promotional video. Yuuto Uemura joins the cast as Reinhardt Highwind, while HoneyWorks and Rokudenashi provide the opening and ending themes.
The series is currently scheduled to premiere on October 7, 2026, beginning at 10:00 p.m. on TOKYO MX. The latest official broadcast listing also includes BS11 and TV Aichi on October 7, with AT-X following on October 9 and MBS on October 10. Broadcast times vary by station.
Based on Mochimaru Sakaki’s fantasy novels, the anime follows Lorna, a girl who is banished after awakening what appears to be a useless ability. In reality, her “Internet” skill allows her to access online strategy guides and modern knowledge in a world that has never heard of the web.
Yuuto Uemura joins the cast as Reinhardt
Uemura, known for roles including Atsushi Nakajima in Bungo Stray Dogs, will voice Reinhardt Highwind. The official character profile describes Reinhardt as a former elite adventurer nicknamed “疾風迅雷,” or “Swift as Lightning.” After suffering a knee injury from an arrow, he retires from adventuring and takes a quieter job as a town gatekeeper while recovering.
That peaceful routine does not last forever. According to the character information, meeting Lorna is set to change the course of Reinhardt’s life, placing him among the colorful personalities drawn into the heroine’s increasingly chaotic travels.
The announced cast now also includes Ansa Tachibana as Lorna, Ai Fairouz as Eliminna Manaflame, Honoka Inoue as Erna, Kana Hanazawa as Aries Tia Bluemoon, and Maria Naganawa as Lulu Le Lie. Aries is a capable guild master with an unexpectedly excitable reaction to cute girls, while Lulu is a young water-dragon princess whose story involves the surprising appearance of another version of herself.
HoneyWorks and Rokudenashi handle the theme songs
HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily performs the opening theme, “Eikyouryoku∞Idol”, while Rokudenashi performs the ending song, “Hoshi wo Meguru.” Both tracks are previewed in the first promotional video, giving viewers an early taste of the anime’s upbeat, playful tone.
HoneyWorks is a creator unit best known for its music-driven storytelling and extensive online presence. HaKoniwalily, the vocal unit featured on the opening, consists of Hanon and Kotoha. Rokudenashi, meanwhile, is a music project built around vocalist NINJIN and rotating Vocaloid producers, with songs that often explore loneliness and the difficulties of modern life.
The contrast between a traditional fantasy setting and contemporary internet culture is central to the series. Lorna can consult a “攻略サイト,” or strategy guide, to deal with monsters, magic, and local problems, but her cheerful willingness to trust what she finds online often creates as many comedic situations as it solves.
Bridge and Aisle lead the production
Jouji Furuta is directing the anime at Bridge and Aisle. Furuta’s credits include Shaman King, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments, and Bad Girl. Shouji Yonemura is supervising series composition, with credits that include Hotel Inhumans and Parasyte -the maxim-.
Yuuki Morimoto is designing the characters. The wider production team includes art director Asuka Komiyama, color designer Megumi Aoi, director of photography Toshiyuki Sadamatsu, editor Kumiko Sakamoto, and sound director Takeshi Takadera. Music is being composed by Alisa Okehazama and RYOSHI TAKAGI, with sound production handled by Bit Grooove Promotion.
The project began as a web fantasy series by Sakaki, who launched it simultaneously on the Shousetsuka ni Narou and Kakuyomu platforms in May 2022. Square Enix later began publishing the novels under its SQEX Novel imprint, with illustrations by riritto. Tamaki Toga’s manga adaptation began serialization in Kodansha’s Getsumaga Kichi in May 2023.
For English-speaking readers, Yen Press has licensed the light novel under the title The World’s Strongest Witch: I’m Starting My Free Life in a World Where Only I Can See the Online Strategy Guide. The third English volume is scheduled for release on November 10, 2026.
