Jujutsu Kaisen has claimed the top spot on Circana BookScan’s June 2026 Top 20 Adult Graphic Novels chart in the United States, with Gege Akutami’s 30th volume leading all other titles. The result gives the hit manga series another major sales milestone as its English-language edition reaches the end of the main story.
According to data provided to ICv2, Jujutsu Kaisen, Vol. 30 ranked No. 1 during the chart period running from May 31 through July 4, 2026. It is the second consecutive month that a Jujutsu Kaisen volume has topped the list, following Vol. 30’s first-place finish in May.
The latest chart also shows that readers were not only picking up the newest volume. Eight Jujutsu Kaisen entries appeared in the Top 20, including Vol. 1 at No. 4, Vol. 29 at No. 5, Vol. 2 at No. 7, and Vol. 0 at No. 9. Vol. 26, Vol. 21, and Vol. 3 rounded out the series’ presence at Nos. 11, 14, and 17, respectively.
Jujutsu Kaisen owns a large share of the chart
The overall June ranking featured 17 manga volumes, with Viz Media holding 12 of the 20 positions. Alongside Jujutsu Kaisen, Viz’s chart entries included Chainsaw Man Vol. 21 at No. 2, One Piece Omnibus Edition Vol. 1 at No. 13, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Vol. 1 at No. 16, and Dandadan Vol. 19 at No. 18.
The bigger surprise is how much of the list belongs to a single franchise. No other series placed more than one title in the Top 20, while Jujutsu Kaisen appeared eight times. That spread suggests strong demand for both the latest installment and earlier volumes, giving new readers multiple entry points into Akutami’s supernatural action series.
Other manga represented on the chart included Gachiakuta Vol. 1, The Summer Hikaru Died Vol. 1, Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 1, Blue Lock Vol. 1, and The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 1. The list also included the graphic novel adaptation of Dungeon Crawler Carl, Lore Olympus: Volume Ten, and Absolute Batman Vol. 1.
Volume 30 marks the English manga’s ending
For longtime fans, Vol. 30 carries extra weight because it is the final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen. Viz Media released the English paperback and digital editions in North America on May 12, 2026, giving readers the concluding installment of Akutami’s manga in English.
Viz describes the volume as the climax of the final battle between Yuji Itadori and Sukuna. The story follows Yuji’s attempt to separate Sukuna from Megumi Fushiguro, setting up the last stage of the conflict that has driven the manga’s concluding chapters.
The timing of the chart performance is notable. Vol. 30 arrived in the United States shortly before the June sales period began, but the series’ strong showing goes beyond a typical new-release spike. Older volumes continued to rank alongside the finale, including the first volume, the prequel volume, and several books from the series’ later arcs.
How the Circana BookScan ranking works
Circana BookScan collects weekly point-of-sale information from more than 16,000 locations, including online retailers, bookstore chains, mass merchants, and independent bookstores. Its data covers approximately 85 percent of the U.S. trade print book market, while the chart rankings are based on units sold rather than revenue.
The list is limited to adult graphic novels. Some publishers classify primarily text-based books or art books as graphic novels, but those titles are removed from this particular ranking. Children’s graphic novels are also tracked separately and do not appear on the chart.
BookScan previously operated under the NPD BookScan name before becoming Circana Books in March 2023, following the merger of The NPD Group and Information Resources, Inc. in 2022. The service remains one of the most closely watched indicators of print-book performance in the U.S.
With the main Jujutsu Kaisen manga now complete in English, the series’ continued chart strength will be worth keeping an eye on. The next major benchmark will be whether Vol. 30 maintains its position in future monthly rankings while earlier volumes continue drawing readers back to the beginning of Akutami’s story.
