Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Classified Series Snow C.A.T. HasLab campaign is no longer a near miss or a last-minute gamble. The project closed on August 14, 2025, with the vehicle, Farley “Frostbite” Seward, and all three stretch goals unlocked. For collectors who followed the campaign’s slow climb, the final result turned a fairly specialized vehicle into one of the line’s most complete environment-based display sets.

The Snow C.A.T. was offered as a 6-inch-scale Classified Series vehicle with an official price of $324.99. Hasbro set the minimum funding target at 8,000 backers, but the campaign ultimately finished with 16,437 orders. That total secured the full package: Frostbite, Arctic Gear Lady Jaye, the Bivouac Battle Station, and Arctic Gear Flint.

A Classic Arctic Vehicle Gets the Classified Treatment

The Snow C.A.T. is one of the more recognizable cold-weather vehicles in the G.I. Joe catalog, and its appeal has always been tied to its role as a specialized expedition and combat machine rather than a generic armored transport. The Classified version preserves that identity while scaling the concept up for modern six-inch figures.

Hasbro’s official feature list includes a 360-degree rotating missile turret, four shockwave missiles with detachable blast effects, and two “Avalanche” ski missiles. The side cargo crates on the ski missiles are removable, giving the vehicle a little more visual flexibility for display and photography. That combination of oversized winter equipment and weaponized snow vehicle makes the Snow C.A.T. feel distinct from the line’s previous HasLab offerings.

Its strongest selling point is not simply size. The Snow C.A.T. gives collectors an instantly recognizable setting for an Arctic team, a Cobra winter assault, or a more grounded expedition display. The vehicle’s broad footprint should also help it dominate a shelf in a way that smaller Classified transports cannot, although collectors will need to plan carefully for both its dimensions and the clearance required for posed figures.

The Stretch Goals Made the Difference

The base offering included the Snow C.A.T. and its driver, Farley “Frostbite” Seward. That pairing already gave the campaign a solid foundation, particularly for collectors who have been waiting for the original Arctic specialist to join the Classified roster. However, the campaign was clearly structured around the additional tiers.

At 10,000 backers, Arctic Gear Lady Jaye was unlocked. The figure uses the familiar character as part of the same winter operations unit, reinforcing the idea that the Snow C.A.T. is not intended to stand alone. At 12,000 backers, the Bivouac Battle Station joined the set. Hasbro described it as a compact field position with additional gear and weaponry that can be stored in the vehicle’s rear cargo compartments.

The final tier, unlocked at 14,000 backers, added Arctic Gear Flint. That last figure was especially important from a value perspective. Without Flint, the campaign would still have delivered a major vehicle and two figures, but the completed package provides a much more convincing team display straight out of the box.

The final backer count exceeded the Flint threshold by more than 2,000 orders, meaning every successful supporter received the entire stretch-goal lineup. In practical collector terms, this changes the conversation around the $324.99 price. The value is still subjective, but the completed set offers considerably more display material than the base campaign initially promised.

Why Arctic Displays Have More Depth Than They Used To

One concern raised during the campaign was whether the Classified line had enough snow-themed characters to justify a vehicle of this size. That concern was understandable when the Snow C.A.T. was first announced, but the Arctic corner of the line has continued to develop. Snow Job, Snow Serpents, Arctic B.A.T.s, and other winter-oriented characters already provide a foundation for a specialized display.

The Snow C.A.T. also benefits from the way G.I. Joe traditionally handled uniforms. The franchise has never limited winter action to a single dedicated Arctic squad. Regular Joes frequently appeared in cold-weather gear depending on the mission, which makes the Lady Jaye and Flint variants feel more natural than simple recolors attached to an unrelated vehicle.

That flexibility is important for collectors who do not build strictly by release wave or character specialty. A Snow C.A.T. display can be staged as an Arctic base, a rescue operation, a Cobra ambush, or a larger winter diorama. The vehicle should also pair well with non-G.I. Joe environmental pieces, including snow terrain, military tents, expedition equipment, and monster or cryptid figures.

Classified Figures Continue To Perform Well in Winter Gear

Although there are no published hands-on reviews of the finished Snow C.A.T. set to evaluate here, reviews of earlier Classified Arctic figures offer useful context. Reviews of Snow Job consistently highlighted the line’s ability to preserve bulky winter costumes without sacrificing the articulation expected from the modern Classified format.

Reviewers praised Snow Job’s sculpted cold-weather equipment, layered costume design, alternate portraits, and useful ski accessories. His parka and winter gear create some natural limits around the hips, but the figure still reportedly manages a strong range of motion, including crouching poses and skiing stances. Those observations do not confirm how Frostbite, Lady Jaye, or Flint will ultimately perform, but they suggest that Hasbro has already established a workable approach to heavy Arctic uniforms.

For collectors, the most important question will be whether the three included figures feel sufficiently distinct from one another. Arctic variants can easily become visually repetitive when they rely on similar white, gray, and blue palettes. The character-specific equipment, head sculpts, and paint applications will determine whether the set feels like a coordinated unit or three figures wearing versions of the same costume.

A Strong Set for Dedicated Collectors, a More Difficult Sell for Everyone Else

At $324.99, the Snow C.A.T. was never going to be an impulse purchase for most collectors. The vehicle occupies substantial shelf space, the campaign required an upfront crowdfunding commitment, and the final product is built around a very specific theme. Collectors primarily interested in iconic individual characters may find the investment difficult to justify.

For dedicated Classified collectors, however, the completed offering has a clear advantage: it creates an entire environment rather than adding one more isolated figure to an already crowded shelf. Frostbite anchors the vehicle, Lady Jaye and Flint expand the crew, and the Bivouac provides a secondary display position. That cohesion is what separates the Snow C.A.T. from a simple large-scale accessory.

The campaign is also notable within Hasbro’s recent G.I. Joe crowdfunding history. The Classified HasLab program has already demonstrated that collectors will support large vehicles when the character lineup and franchise importance are strong enough. The Snow C.A.T. did not generate the same immediate momentum associated with some previous projects, but it ultimately reached every promised tier.

Hasbro lists the project for shipping in fall 2026. Until production samples and final reviews appear, questions about plastic quality, paint consistency, fit, stability, and long-term durability remain open. Those details will matter, especially on a vehicle at this price and scale.

Collector verdict: The Snow C.A.T. is best suited to committed G.I. Joe Classified collectors, Arctic-themed display builders, and fans who want a substantial centerpiece with a complete supporting cast. Casual buyers may see it as too specialized, but the fully unlocked package gives the vehicle a much stronger case than the base offering alone.
